Chiropractic Care

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing and treating neuromuscular disorders. Doctors of Chiropractic provide treatment for diverse complaints, utilizing a variety of techniques including spinal manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and modality use. Chiropractors aim to relieve pain and improve function, offering advice on lifestyle changes for overall wellness.

What is an Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is a manual technique used by chiropractors involving high velocity low amplitude force to enhance body function. It applies controlled force to specific joints restoring movement and alleviating discomfort.

Do we always perform manipulation?

NO... we do perform adjustments in every treatment. We use spinal manipulation only when indicated and safe for the patient. If you are uncomfortable with manipulation, Joint mobilizations can be utilized, which involves oscillating a joint at end range without delivering a high velocity low amplitude thrust. Our approach also includes various other therapeutic methods to create a personalized treatment plan focused on your well-being.

What To Expect?

First Visit

After booking your initial assessment, you will be sent electronic intake forms to be completed prior to your arrival at the clinic. Your practitioner will review these forms with you to gain a better understanding of your primary complaints. You will then be guided through an in-depth physical examination to determine a working diagnosis and recommended treatment plan. A report of findings will be delivered and any questions will be addressed before proceeding with your first treatment.

Follow-Up Visits

Subsequent chiropractic appointments are shorter than your initial assessment. Services can be 15 or 30 minutes in length, depending on your preference and your practitioners recommendations. During these visits, you will update us on your symptoms, receive treatment according to your personalized plan, review exercises and discuss any questions that you may have.

New Complaints

If you have already completed an initial assessment within the last year and have a new complaint, please book the according 45 minute appointment. These bookings are longer to allow the practitioner adequate time to investigate your new complaint. You will be asked pertinent details, a physical exam will be performed and then you will receive treatment.
